Big as Yo Face Meatball and Busy Times Ahead

We went to Olive Garden last night to use up some gift cards.  (Thank you everyone!)  What an enjoyable time we had.  George got this incredible meatball that was about as "Big as Yo Face".  He only ate half.

Here was mine.  And oh my goodness - I'll be going back for this!  I loved this pasta dish with all the veggies.  It had a light lemon chicken herb sauce on it.

I could've done without the enriched flour part, but the calories were acceptable as opposed to what it could be.  I still think their calories were "off".

So yeah, I'll be back for this one.

On a sad note though - their dishes kinda had a stench to it.  Like when you run the dishwasher without detergent or when the detergent doesn't spread around.  I started to ask for a new wine glass, but decided to bite my tongue.  I just prayed that we'd be ok.  I don't like being THAT person.  But that was the only negative part of it.  I didn't even mention it to George.  I didn't want to ruin his experience, lol.

Then I wanted cheesecake.  I was going to get a mini one, but I didn't see a mini cheese cake dessert.  So I got the big one and we split it.  The strawberry sauce was incredible and not too sweet - it was just like natural strawberries blended.  The cheesecake itself was creamy and thick and oh so good.

So life is pretty busy this weekend and on into next week.  We have a guitar show tomorrow for George which is attached to a mall so I will shop while he shops.  And then we are meeting our friends that live nearby for a late lunch.

And Sunday I have the Transport group in for their benefits meeting along with a catered Cracker Barrel meal at 2 p.m.   George is also fixing a roast at our house for that night, but it'll be late when we eat.

Then Monday is our benefit meetings at the Nashville plant and then Tuesday we fly into Portland.  We do meetings there Wed and fly to Phoenix.  We do the meetings in Phoenix on Thursday morning and then fly to Oklahoma City.  We'll do their meetings Friday morning and fly back into Nashville late Fri nite.  I get in about 10.

I'm a little nervous about the planes.  But I guess that is Southwest's job to worry about that.  Are the Max planes still grounded?  Does it make me feel better to be on an old worn out plane?  I guess that is the point.  Neither suits me so what do you do besides pray.

So I'll be packing and doing laundry "as I have time" this weekend.

I will be ready for a day off ---a real day off where I have some time to do what I want to do at home to rejuvy---the weekend following.  But I have a feeling it will be spa day for the dogs.  I've got to get that scheduled.

I've really got to do something about this sleep thing.  Just really needing to get the 8 hours now for some reason.  I've always been able to go on 6.5 to 7.  Having a time of it trying to get up in the mornings.  My mind used to be ready to go.  Not any more.  So I guess I'm going to have to go to bed earlier some how. Not sure how that is going to work.  I already don't have much time once I get home from work.

Right now, even after 7.5 hours, I'm sitting here wanting to go back to bed. Coffee is not doing it's thing yet, so off to get another cup.

Not anything much interesting to share this morning.  I've been doing a variety of listening on the commute and trying to finish up the Essentialism book.  It's pretty good.  It's mainly about filtering, prioritizing, and eliminating - and being able to do it quickly in your life - on just about anything.

Well, I should go and get prepped for work and try to make myself somewhat presentable.  And get another cup of joe!

Ya'll have a super day!

  2. Your Olive Garden meal looks good. I'm not very adventurous there and usually have the soup, salad and breadsticks. You are very busy! I hope you get some time to relax and that you have a good weekend!
